The Leading Ingredient In Your Shampoo May Be Ruining Your Hair

Posted on by

Hair care is an enormous industry, earning about $750 million a year. Every woman dreams of having soft, silky and shiny hair and most women are willing to pay whatever it takes to achieve the luscious hair of their dreams.

Despite a wide array of products available on the market that promise to give you soft, healthy hair, many women find that no matter what they do their hair is dull, dry and frizzy. The reality is that no matter how much money you spend on hair products, a leading ingredient in common household shampoos can be destroying your hair and preventing it from looking and feeling its best.

The leading ingredient in most popular shampoos is called sodium lauryl sulfate. This ingredient is what gives shampoo its rich lather and foaming abilities. Sodium lauryl sulfate is actually an extremely harsh detergent that cleans your hair but at a severe cost.

What sodium lauryl sulfate does in order to clean your hair is bond grease and dirt together, allowing these impurities to be rinsed out with water. The problem is that everyone’s hair produces natural oils that keep it soft, clean and healthy. Sodium lauryl sulfate strips the hair of these natural oils, drying out your hair and causing frizz and dullness over time.

Luckily, there are products on the market that will clean your hair effectively without using this harsh chemical detergent. One current favorite is WEN’s 5-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner. This product gently cleans your hair without sodium lauryl sulfate, thus preserving those natural oils that keep your hair looking beautiful and healthy.

WEN By Chaz Dean’s ( 5-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner uses only natural ingredients and botanical extracts. Not only does this product clean your hair, but it also conditions your hair at the same time, leaving you with shiny, silky and manageable hair that looks and feels healthy.

If you suffer from dry hair and frizz, consider dropping the drug store shampoos and switch to a product that’s free of sodium lauryl sulfate. The quality of your hair will improve after just one use.

My Story of Using Wen By Chaz Cleaning Conditioner

Posted on by

Most of us have seen the WEN by Chaz Dean infomercials by now. They are always full of women with long, bouncy hair who claim that the cleansing conditioner is the cause. I decided to try out the cleansing conditioner myself. I just had to confirm the rumors for myself. For those who are unaware WEN cleansing conditioner is a one-stop-shop for the hair. It is a shampoo, conditioner, and styling treatment in one. The product works for any hair type. Personally, I decided to try out the Fig Version.

Despite some of the negative stories, I have heard about the product; it appears to work greatly. As with any product, it does not work for all people. After seven days of use, I noticed that my hair had become shinier and more bouncy than before. The product works great, especially if you use it on a daily basis.

Doe Deere and the World of Female Entrepreneurs

Posted on by

The business world often has an image. And it tends to be one filled with older men. But there’s exceptions to the rule, and one of the brightest stars of the business world is a woman by the name of Doe Deere. She’s not only a young woman, she’s one who’s filled with energy and enthusiasm for both her product and the business she’s built around it. She recently sat down to talk about her experiences in the business world. It carries quite a bit of weight for any woman who’s interested in following her path to success.

While she’s gained attention as an adult, it’s clear in retrospect that she was headed for artistic success even as a child. Most children love to color. But for Doe Deere this was more of an intense investigation into the subject. She didn’t just like to color, she absolutely loved it. She has a lot to say about the fact that she almost always had colored pencils in hand. This interest quickly evolved into a love of grabbing some of her mom’s makeup or clothing in order to create the most colorful looks possible. This love of clothing and makeup evolved pretty quickly once she had the chance to grab a bit more freedom in her appearance.

Her first memory of actually using makeup in a more mature fashion comes from a slumber party. In a departure from her norm, she’d dressed in darker colors. she and her two best friends were about to engage in another slumber party tradition. They were going to try to contact the spirits of the deceased. But true to later form, Doe Deere insisted on tweaking her appearance as much as possible. In order to look properly dark and mysterious she did her own makeup and then tried her hand at it with her friends.

She also had a lot to say about her brand, Lime Crime. It was originally the name of her ebay store. And this online model would continue to define it. She also finds herself somewhat amused by how the name has kept the brand identity on track. When she’s working on a product she simply needs to consider whether it would seem odd to have the name Lime Crime on it. This dedication to brand is also something that defines Doe Deere herself. She’s a model of success in large part because of her drive to make a great product that people can enjoy.

“I make makeup for boys and girls like me, who express themselves unapologetically. LimeCrime is the freedom to be YOU!” – Doe Deere, Founder/CEO of LimeCrime

Doe Deere was born as Xenia Vorotova on June 15, 1981 in Izhevsk, Russia. She moved to the United States during her teen years to pursue a career in fashion. Growing up, Deere has always been a storyteller and loves to deeply indulge in her fantasy world. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and later dropped out. She long to express herself freely through unconventional fashion and makeup.

Deere founded Lime Crime in 2004 but it launched in 2008. Lime Crime started off as a fashion label, then the makeup line was added into Lime Crime in 2008. Lime Crime consists of colors and brightness out of the ordinary. Lime Crime motto is “so bright, its illegal”. Lime Crime is what typical makeup lines are not. Lime Crime is so extreme that only a regular person would think LimeCrime is nothing but a daydream. Deere influenced the beauty industry because she followed her dreams that is not considered practical in society. Lime Crime makeup products such as eyeshadows and lipsticks are very pigmented in color. The company make up collection is inspired by her fantasy world.

Before Deere founded her business, LimeCrime, she was in a music band in 2003 called Sky Salt. She met her husband, Mark, who was a guitarist, in the same band. Her husband and she left the band in 2006. She and her husband currently reside in Los Angeles, California with their cats. The couple still work together in her business.

Deere embraces her individuality and unique style through her make up products. She has always been a creative rebel in her own right which earned her success. She is the example of creating the life individuals want through entrepreneurship. She was inspired by women owned small businesses to start her own makeup line. She affirms that “Anybody can find success — you just have to allow yourself to dream! That’s my formula.”
